Stage is computed from velocity: rising (≥ +10%), peaking (between −10% and +10% at a high level — shown as steady here), fading (≤ −10%). With only one snapshot, everything shows “awaiting data”.

How to add a daily snapshot

1. Open data/snapshots.json in this repo.
2. Copy the most recent snapshot object, change its "date" to today (YYYY-MM-DD), and paste in the new public numbers you observed (followers, avg views, likes, posts/week, hashtag posts, sound uses). Leave anything unverified as null — it will render as “—”.
3. Add the new object to the "snapshots" array (newest last) and redeploy. Velocity, trend arrows and alerts are computed automatically from the last two snapshots.
4. To track a new creator, add an entry to the "creators" array (handle, niche tag, profile URL). To track a new hashtag or sound, add it to the "hashtags" / "sounds" arrays.

Scope — what this tracker deliberately does NOT do

• No GMV, revenue, units sold, ad spend, or ROAS — ever. Those estimates are another tool's moat and are out of scope by design.
• No automated TikTok scraping, no bots, no high-frequency polling. Snapshots are entered manually.
• Public metrics only (followers, views, likes, posting frequency, hashtag/sound usage). Handles link to public profiles; nothing private is stored.
• Private use only — no logins, no payments, no customer-facing launch.

Velocity = % change vs the previous snapshot. Alerts fire on: views doubled (≥ +100%), follower spike (≥ +25%), or a new entry into a top-20 ranking.
